Kadyrov is a Putin stooge. Both Kadyrov and his father are seen as traitors in Chechnya because they sold out to the hated Russians. Kadyrov rules through fear and murder.

If Kadyrovs personal forces (the loyalist Kadyrovites) get wiped out in Ukraine, he may face an uprising back home. And then there could be a Third Chechen War as Russian troops come to his aid. I highly doubt that Putin would want such an outcome given his forces are currently bogged down in Ukraine.
