Yes “putting is money where his mouth is’” is a bit of a joke.
He sold most of his stock in 2006/07 for $2.00 a share.
So now he is buying back at $0.80.
You could say he is putting 40% of his money where his mouth is.
During his time on the board he has raised from the public in excess of $800 million.
Today that is worth $400 million.
He became chairman when the stock was around $3.00.
When he stepped aside late last year the price was less than a $.
Why anyone would support him is beyond me.
