As you say an analogy

But more like a fable, as you found with your fish too much is bad, too little is bad, you found the balance roughly right
But say if you image one hundred incremental steps of the amount you may find you are not actually putting enough in, you may also find you are still putting too much in, as you may be reducing their life by seven days

The point is that the planet is the same and the scientists are like you they are guessing as they do not actually know if we are putting too much in or not enough
Also different to your fish tank the world already has a system in place to control the right mix of gases to suit the planet and does and will continue to adjust as required

Therefore we may be doing more harm than good as THE SCIENTISTS DON'T KNOW

Should we be doing research to know more, of course we should
Should we be doing more on the matter of see-able pollution and degradation, of course
But don't waste time and money and the peoples wellbeing and their future on guesses
And don't transfer so much of our taxes to big business so they can buy bigger yachts

This is what big business does with your taxes
