yup. Folk just never learn. HUMANKIND never learn. Every time they have a bogeyman presented they fall for it hook line and sinker. The bogeyman is always "a threat to our way of life" . Communists-all gone, Arab Dictators-all gone , the IRA-in hibernation, Muslims-they wish they were gone, Taliban-when it suits, Chinese-before elections, Russians/Putin-ah there's someone we can focus on again.. And after the carnage and the scandals and the lies and the kids who've died in a pointless war for "freedom and democracy" are buried by a broken mom and dad, and civilians aren't buried by anyone but a JCB , and somehow slowly the lies leak out, then they -the sheeple-wring their hands and moan oh oh oh we were lied to , we didn't; know, we TRUSTED our government to TELL US THE TRUTH..oh oh oh.
