To me, a dividend would say “we’re out of ideas and there aren’t any opportunities worth investing in…”
But a buy-back would show the companies confidence in generating long-term value.
Educate me.
Why do people support a divi?
Cash paid out is gone forever.
A special dividend provides zero long-term benefit.
