This is why the only ASX banking stock in my portfolio is MQG. The Big 4 I think of as the Big Dopey 4....ripe for disrupting. $1400 billion in mortgage loans between them (MQG only $48b) and this $100 billion in transaction accounts earning next to no interest - what a complete rip off when you consider they’ll pull in any easy $3 or $4 billion simply lending it out the other side of the ledger.
Big Fat Lazy Margins.
This MQG pullback to the low $170’s is starting to look very inviting for a top up.
