The strange thing is the Fastmarkets product MB-MNO-0001 from interpreting the graph on the their website isn't showing anything like US$9.50/dmtu. It looks to be up about 39% from a year ago. My guess on the price a year ago was $5.30 making it about US$7.37/dmtu. This still a very good price but it hasn't see a lift in the last few weeks.
On lithium treads there's quite a bit of discussion around spot vs contract pricing (with spot a lot higher). The last price here was set on Friday the 10th (London time) so Asian weekend bidding wouldn't be reflected below. Hopefully the prices you note are a forward looking indication of where the FastMarkets index below will be heading.
