POLITICS Conservative parties looked set to win a string of local elections across Italy, early results showed on Monday, but a referendum on justice reform championed by rightist leader Matteo Salvini fell flat.

DEBT Treasury sells BTP bonds 1.5-2.0 billion euros 1.20% BTP bonds due Aug. 15, 2025; 2.0-2.5 billion euros 2.80% BTP bonds due June 15, 2029; 1.0-1.5 billion euros following two BTP bonds: 2.15% due Sept. 1, 2052 and 3.85% due Sept. 1, 2049. Subscriptions close at 0900 GMT.

TELECOM ITALIA TLIT.MI Italy's antitrust body has rejected proposals by sport streaming service DAZN and its partner Telecom Italia (TIM) as it investigates their deal to distribute top flight soccer games in Italy, a document showed on Monday.

Italy's biggest phone group has secured works worth 725 million euros ($755.67 million) in a government tender for the deployment of 5G networks, the ministry for technological innovation and digital transition said on Monday.

(*) A binding deal among TIM, Open Fiber, state lender CDP, and the infrastructure funds KKR and Macquarie on the single network project could be reached by July, daily Il Sole 24 Ore reported on Tuesday.

The Italian energy services group and Italy's Trevi said on Tuesday they had signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop a design of two drilling systems for large diameter foundation holes for wind farms.

SAIPEM SPMI.MI The company said on Monday its Saipem 7000 vessel, which was damaged during an incident back in April, was back in operation and would return to its full lifting capacity by early 2023.

(*)MFE MFEB.MI MFEA.MI Mediaset Espana TL5.MC said on Monday its board had issued a favourable opinion on the voluntary takeover bid for its shares made by its parent company MFE-Mediaforeurope.

The Italian lender said on Tuesday it had purchased 66,855,854 shares, equal to 3.06% of the share capital, for a total consideration of 683,360,530.97 euros, as of 10 June 2022, since the launch of first tranche of the buy-back programme 2021.

(*)MONTE DEI PASCHI BMPS.MI The board of the Italian lender said on Tuesday it had appointed Andrea Maffezzoni as new chief financial officer with immediate effect.

(*)DOVALUE DOVA.MI The credit server said on Tuesday its subsidiary Altamira Asset Management had formally set up a business unit to manage non-performing exposures of small and medium enterprises in Spain.

(*)POSTE ITALIANE PST.MI The Italian postal service provider said on Monday it had concluded the buyback programme of its own shares. As a result, Poste holds 7,832,921 own shares, equal to 0.600% the share capital.

(*)NEXI NEXII.MI The payment group said on Tuesday it had agreed to sell its technology businesses related to the capital markets activities to Euronext ENX.PA for 57 million euros.

FERRARI RACE.MI Ferrari on Monday named former jewellery executive Carla Liuni as its new chief brand officer as the Italian luxury carmaker pushes ahead with an ambitious strategy launched a year ago to diversify beyond cars.

Ferrari's early season delight has become a discussion of disaster after the Italian team's nightmare in Baku on Sunday, but it is still too early to write off their title hopes.

STELLANTIS STLA.MI Stellantis said on Monday it would leave the European carmaker association ACEA by the end of 2022 as part of a new approach to addressing issues and challenges of future mobility, including a shift away from traditional lobbying activity.
