Having a quick look at the for vs against parties, the numbers are certainly on our side, take that with a pinch of salt though.
All very positive signs from my limited understanding. Bit of googling helped.
The fact that the argument against nuclear power is to do with the cost is beyond me? It is one of the most cost efficient and green forms of energy is it not? Even despite the initial capital costs.
Nuclear power vs offshore wind power was given as an example in a previous article linked on these threads. The argument given was that to expand traditional green renewables to the scale at which is required, would actually cost BILLIONS more than to generate the same amount of power from nuclear plants? Hence the cost would be passed on to consumers?
Just trying to understand things, certainly not advice.
