S&P500 up another 0.70% in overnight trading. I underestimated the built in expectations. It seems, rightly so, that the market is ignoring past Fed guidance, or perhaps the Fed letting itself be led by the market. The Fed is trying to thread a needle, raising rates by as much as it can, without upsetting the markets.
They should have raised a year ago, but unlike the head in the sand ECB, are at least responding to 8%+ inflation in earnest.
The long suffering Aussie stem-cell flagship +10% this morning is a surprise. Perhaps news about to come out....
