I don’t think the banks bottom lines will be too badly effected in coming years but people will be thinking to store their cash in rising term deposits instead of investing with a potential to lose capital. Sit comfortably with 2% no stress or take a risk watching your money grow or disappear at 4%. Imo banks will have to rise there dividends payouts to keep investors buying their shares in the future. They basically have to compete against themselves imo .
