Ok, I'm curious now.
If there was NO reduction in cost base for retained BHP shares, why have the brokers (I'm with Comsec) marked down the historic number by the equivalent amount ?
All the 52 Week Charts now show a $48.50'ish high.
Last month before the merger the 52 week high was $52'ish.. (can't remember exactly)
