    On 8 June 2022, the ACCC granted interim authorisation to Virgin Australia and Alliance Airlines to enter into an extension of the Charter Alliance Agreement. Existing authorisations expired on 9 June and this will allow extension for a further five years.

    Application and ACCC Interim Authorisation Decision refers to the competitive dynamics of the industry and maintaining the status quo.
