Sure - but it's effectively being subsidised by the taxpayer - so if developed privately all power to them - pun intended!!
If you were ever involved in any way in the power industry you would know that batteries will never be a substanstial element of power supply - they only ever store generated energy.
Renewables is a noble idea -
But it will never provide power on demand for all of us. The ON DEMAND thing is insurmountable for renewables.
The choice is clearly get the coal and gas fixed up - or go nuclear. When the lights go off for days or weeks on end - only then will the penny drop for a generation who have bought into the renewable fairy tale. As I said before we all want clean air
