Company that meet my financial test are going gang buster and I have shares in these NVT,TRS,DMP

a good company with a good business model combine with strong financial backing will out perform any stocks at any given time both during boom and and during gloom..
Check out their charts how they survive the GFC and then kick some serious ass..

during gloom you top up with these companies and make even more money..

as an investors you suppose to know these things
or at least cover it on the down side.

company can win contracts or rack in the cash but can they drive a profit from revenues, that where keys number on financial statement tell you how good a company is.

I can tell you lot of company that rack in lot of money but they rarely produce decent profits and then I can tell you there are few that make crazy profit from very low operating cost of the business.

I only invest in company that have the second characteristics..

I been through NOD 3 annual reports, they spins a bit with their tales.

telling you one thing then do another ...we conservative with our approach to debt but they rack up debt higher every single year....

look at the above stocks..their profit higher each year and their debt is lower or debt free.

NOD debt nearly double from 2008-2009 hmmm very conservative indeed... :-)

and debt to equity ratio they talk about mean bugger all..it's a bullshit number it's like EBITDA number...I like NPAT number not some wild EBITDA number where
after tax and interest and depreciation you may end up with 0 NPAT or worse negative earning.

but at the end of the day it's your money you have to make the decision where you allocate your capital :-)

I dont know enough about NOD to say it's a shit company yet I'm still digging and analysing, until such time I have all the information I need my capital stay in the banks or in other stocks..
