Even though overall they are still a poor country, I'll bet there are millions and millions of very wealthy Chinese who could buy and sell most Aussies 10x over.
If they all decided to buy a house each, we'd be working (and sleeping) in the rice paddies whilst our new masters were sitting on the front verandah telling us to move faster.
