Any competition who tried to emulate the Selfie would still need to prove equivalent performance of the drug, application and shelf life for FDA. That is what MVP has been doing during its own development from the previous design.
Storing the methoxyflurane without significant loss of fluid to provide a consistent dosing profile when used is one element of the secret sauce providing IP protection. Creating an equivalent airflow profile with the right concentration delivered into the user is another. The barrier to entry is high.
