i don’t agree we are supplying the Chinese students. Just my opinion, don’t fight me. But it’s not even making it to the shelves. Daigou i see on WeChat share videos of the postman delivering boxes on boxes of a2 straight to their residential garage door. Not so sure Chinese students and tourist are back and clearing shelves, we’d see this if so. The stores I check in Melbourne get 6 tins of differing stages every few days. Remember they would place pallets down in the aisle at the supermarket and we’d see them running in and out? They have streamlined the operation where this isn’t necessary. and I don’t think it’s the students and fly in/fly out tourists doing this. It’s purchased before it hits the shelves. also, Woolies and Cole’s had JD supermarket accounts on the 618 sales so maybe all their stock at the warehouse was bought by China before it had a chance to distribute in Australia. I think a2 are not doing a great job of satisfying demands of traditional outlets, for whatever reason, but it’s by a2’s design. Limiting production for whatever reason, maybe scarcity creates desire but I don’t like this take.
