The market capitalization of AZL has now reached about the same level as the price of a new Boeing 737 or Airbus A321. Russian oligarchs would consider it the cost of a cheap yacht.

So what is being debated here is, essentially, whether the company will ever get off the ground. Or whether it will float, or sink. I wonder why the EV makers who are desperate for lithium, haven’t made a takeover bid. Is it because Tesla or GM or Volkswagen don’t want to buy a lawsuit, while being accused of threats to indigenous populations?

At $120 a barrel, the Saudis could soon sell enough oil to buy a lithium exploration venture in Arizona. They have already bought up Arizona farm land, using Arizona water resources at below-market cost, to grow hay for their cattle. What are they waiting for? Perhaps a lower price.
