Quite a few years ago my Port Hedland hotel of choice was bought by a mining company. Just for accommodation; they closed the bars. Hope that doesn't happen to the Katanning drinkers. This would be a big opportunity for a private operator to get a foot in the door just before, (I hope) a big mining operation starts up near town.
If I was younger I'd just about consider it.
