    well, you certainly correct there in that one

    all the other power sources atm in Europe are more reliable than gas - thanks to Vladimir


    And, yes - I do agree with 'round two' that coal will have a revival from this - it may be a last gasp - we shall see

    I don't think it will make diddly squat difference to France - France has (I think) one new nuclear plant under construction -

    as sure as god made little apples - if France puts up any more power stations - they sure won't be coal - they'll be more nuclear or wind.


    however - you are very correct in that fossil in Europe is very unreliable - and, round two is correct - coal will get a boost - even if very temporary

    what might be very interesting is if someone like Germany reverses it's nuclear policy - there'd have to be pressure now for that
