it parallels the fierce opposition to same sex marriage exhibited in Australia during the plebiscite a few years back by the local religious whackjobs who tried to insist on how others live. These religious whackjobs have been described variously as wowsers, or as ex-PM Keating tagged them the straighteners and punishers.

the common thread being religious whackjobs, the fairy tales they confect and their fierce desire to control other people.

wrongly, they claim the basis for their beliefs is the christian buybull and their hero worship of jesus, apparently the son of god, god itself and a holy ghost, all rolled into one.

what this has to do with a woman’s’s right to choose isn’t clear, but what is clear is that jesus is responsible for up to a quarter of all miscarriages.

The US state of Oklahoma may well have a law that says life begins at fertilisation but jesus apparently hasn’t read that resulting in god’s plan that up to one in four pregnancies miscarry, in short aborting a foetus.

religious whackjobs are a particularly nasty lot.

while it’s a shame to see the US over-run with them, it was also a tremendous relief to see in Australia’s general election in May that voters didn’t want a bar of religious extremists.
