    omicron v.2 had lost the protein spike that identified it to the human immune system. so the bug is able to infect anyone regardless of introduced immunity or natural immunity from having already had a covid infection. so because there are many more people (95%+ or the population) there should be many more vaccinated than unvaxxed.

    the problem with your argument is that the hospitalised covid patients are roughly 50:50 so from this its easy to see that vaccination still provides significant protection from the infection.
