I have a super fund, but haven't gone down the path of an SMSF thus far. If I didn't, I wouldn't be including high risk lithium explorers operating in third world countries in there.
Of course I'm liable to CGT, is every other person domiciled in Australia for tax purposes. Generally, I'm sitting long on my positions and eligible for the 50% discount.
