Nursery,
Have to agree, somewhat, I do the T/A purely because i am lazy and don't have time to research companys anywhere near as much as i should before settling on a stock.
T/A does chart the past, it also represents the present , and I believe gives me a slight insight to the future.
I believe that T/A feeds straight off all the hard work thats done in the F/A world. I have never chosen a stock on F/A , sentiment , reccomendations or ramping by brokers and over zealous shareholders.
My strike rate is more often than not fairly good, ( hence why i am at VPG) although at times i get smashed on the stoploss only to see the SP then run, but thats the sharemarket.
This is certainly not a trading system i would reccomend for everyone because we are all different and all have different motivations and emotions.
So far (touch wood) I have never,, to the best of my knowledge posted a T/A opinion that proved blatently wrong or just plain stupid. (Doesn't that leave me open to a huge fall)
As stated , both can work hand in hand, and if I had the time , I would practice both F/A and T/A ..!!
Cheers DYOR.
