DAP stood at $280 per tonne FOB Tampa in October. Reports are now filtering in of DAP at $450 per tonne. At these prices MAK's potential mining product -Rock Phosphate- will be valued at $US150-$200 per tonne FOB. This puts the profit for a 1MT operation in the first year at $50-$100mil on a trucking operation of $70 Aus per tonne to port, $15 loading, a potential Royalty of $10 for TOs and $20 for admin etc, with currency exchange at estimated 90c US/AUD.
MAK is to commence mining on its plans in June/July this year.
