Not too far from reporting period. What will the final dividend be? In my view this will be a record and probably be the record for a long time given it’s likely to see a lower medium-long term average realised price for iron ore. Also some room for special dividends for the SMR sale and WDS dividend.
My call: $US2.20, this includes special dividends and assumes no share buy backs. I’d equally be happy if they reduce the payout and do an off market buyback given the share price has corrected with the general market. This also assumes no takeovers which would reduce their payout ability.
FY2023 - I see dividends declining however this is generally a known variable and already imputed within its valuations.
