If you are unsure about trusting KP2's market depth, then just consider the top two lines of depth for comparison (as indicated in the below attachment). I think it is safe to assume that the top two lines are genuine, as they are pretty much right in the action, and trades at this level can be executed at any time (currently showing 6.1mil shares on the BUY v 1.1mil shares on the SELL). Currently no shortage of buyers looking for an entry.
About the AVZ comparison. I don't think that a direct comparison to KP2 is relevant. Firstly, my understanding is that AVZ is mining in the DRC, while KP2 is mining in the ROC (two completely different countries with different governments and different dynamics). Secondly, my understanding is that AVZ is in dispute with a JV partner over what percentage of the project is owned by who (i.e. AVZ is not in dispute with the govt of DRC, but rather is in dispute with a JV partner over who owns how much of the project). In KP2's case, my understanding is that KP2 is the only mining company that currently holds the mining lease over this project (ie. KP2 does not currently have a JV partner). In saying that it should be acknowledged that KP2 holds 90% ownership of the project, with the govt of the ROC holding the remaining 10% (but my understanding is that 10% project ownership is a standard ROC gov condition of all resource projects in the country). Summary is that KP2 operates in a different country to AVZ and does not currently have a JV partner in which an ownership dispute could occur (having said that, there are always risks with any mining project that some type of tenure questions could occur).
