The drop in SP after discovery is in large part caused by dilution due to the massive work in resource drilling, met work etc to get through PFS,DFS, BFS, environmental studies, mining leases etc -- while SP goes down EV does not to the same extent.
However the other aspect is that holders know this and naturally sell and that brings the price down.

We are taught to take profit - first to be free carried if possible then to accumulate bank as best we can.

It's easy to stuff up - I have on many occasions, but banked profit also. It's the individual's responsibility.
