All seems to be ticking along nicely @brauninc not only for IOCG but IOCGs (read potential province?)

Some have previously questioned Jumping Spider geophysics size and depth to be valid or of economic interest. Legacy drill holes in the area haven't shown up much either apart from haematite (was it in DDH005 that only drilled to 300m or so). Anyway, Inca always favoured Lamb over Spider and Dr J mentioned that he was reluctant to throw too much money at it (hence, only 600m for hole 004 was allocated in this recono program)... So for Inca to find something at 580m was a huge win and potentially confirm proof of concept for IOCG.

    FW220004
" As announced 6 June, a rapid increase in alteration intensity and frequency was observed from 580m – shortly before theplanned end of hole (EOH) depth of 600m – with increased veining and brecciation of the red beds and a marked rise in sulphideabundance (principally pyrite with variable, rare-trace chalcopyrite) and pervasive haematite and fluorite... are noted to occur at low levels intermittently from 580m to EOH at 1,000m.The occurrence of an iron-flooded, porphyritic volcanic unit in this area of Jumping Spider hosting IOCG-style alteration andveining is considered by Inca as another positive result from the Company’s reconnaissance drill program at the Frewena GroupProject."

    FW220008
Oh, and what about those juicy Lamb cutlets? The butcher shop story continues to build (apologies plant-based eaters)...

"Alteration and observed sulphides in FW220008 extend the IOCG footprint at Mount Lamb North-East 1.8kmalong strike from FW220007, making this a high priority target for follow-up exploration and confirming Inca’srobust geophysical modelling." From c. 250m, metamorphic grade of the host rock decreases with the mica schist transitioning to a black shale hostingabundant pyrite as laminations and, in places, abundant garnets overprinted by quartz-(pyrite). Quartz-pyrite veins occur withthe shale becoming interbedded with siltstone from c. 275m. Geology is strongly sulphidic, dominated by pyrite in laminationsand veins as well as including a 50cm-wide massive pyrite zone at 287m occurring within a strongly silicified zone."

Now you might rightly think "50cm massive pyrite zone at 287m occuring within a strongly silicified zone" isn't a lot BUT it pretty much sits under an outcrop of 500m x 350m of silica breccia where elevated economic metals AND path finder elements have been found at surface previously (see my red cross)...

    FW220007
Hmm, Hole 008 is 1.8km from 007 and what was that again...

    https://hotcopper.com.au/data/attachments/4481/4481651-672c9ac1bcb1e300875ea41528acb107.jpg

AND let's not forget FW220002/A "intersects widespread pyrite-pyrrhotite in lower sections of hole with rare vein-hosted copper, lead and zinc sulphides and rare host rock disseminated zinc sulphides"

    OR FW220006 "intersects narrow zones (20cm and 25cm) of syn-depositional, semi-massive pyrrhotite-pyrite-(chalcopyrite) at 865m and 866m - characteristic of SEDEX style mineralisation"

Now some might still be thinking, seriously Poet what's 20cm here or 50cm there?

However, zoom out, it's not about cm but m and kms (see 'serious smoke" thread).

Basically, IOCGs are all about contact zones between magnetite and hematite.... and the 500m interval of iron in 007 has within it all the right ingredients AND it sits along a 18km strike!

Then there is the issue of pyrrhotite (associated with gold in black shales and converted from pyrite) which is mentioned in the Anns and found at the redox boundary...
