This is not necessarily good news for MSB, though it is promising news for this man and the medical community.

If people are successfully using MSC-derived exosomes for the same purposes as MSCs, this could potentially make MSCs themselves obsolete.

Using cell-derived therapy is often more ideal than using whole cells themselves.

That is, figuring out what molecules or compounds are involved in the desired effect of whole cell preparations and using these instead often leads to much more targeted and predictable effects, among other benefits.

I've always said MSB should be focusing in part on isolating the compounds involved in MSCs anti inflammatory effect. Hopefully they get in on this before someone else does.

Though I know Dr Lightner is affiliated with MSB, so hopefully they aren't letting this opportunity pass them up.
