Copper Flats

Areas followed up in this program included, sites of reported mineralised sand volcano, rock chip sample sites with >5% copper values and key prospect areas.

The program was helicopter supported which enabled geologists to visit all areas identified for field checks. Rock chip samples were also taken for further mineralogical and petrology studies.

The mapping program confirmed abundant surface copper occurrences. New areas of copper mineralisation which were not previously mapped were identified.

Detailed geological mapping and ground MLEM survey are expected to commence in the second quarter of 2010 as soon as the wet season during early months of the year stops.
