Enjoyed reading your calmer take on all things AAR and I agree with the vast majority of your offerings. The only area in which we differ, is the 'what we should expect from management' aspect of your post.

Had assertions not been made to improve their accountability towards us, then I would have quietly sat back and watched what panned out. If I held and lost out, or sold and lost out, that would have been totally on me.

But, at both the AGM and in subsequent email discussions with Angus, he gave me an assurance that this aspect of the company would change. Communications, from them, to us, WOULD improve.

If they had adhered to their tried and true way and told us something along the lines of 'well, if you don't like the way we do things, you know where the door is' - in a strange sort of way, we all could decide from a level playing field.

But they said that the shop front window was going to be spruced up to make it easier for all and sundry to see what's going on in AAR land.

I just didn't realise they were going to clean the window with mud! Stupid me thought they were going to use a combination of jiff and windex. :)
