Pharmaxis Topical Scar Trial Featured on TV NewsThe clinical trial of Pharmaxis topical anti-fibrotic drug discovery PXS-6302 has featured on Channel 9 News. PXS-6302 is being trialed in collaboration with The University of Western Australia, led by Professor Fiona Wood AM. Having passed Phase 1a safety trials, the drug is now recruiting a longer term study in 50 patients with established scars.With the ultimate goal to “unscar the scar”, PXS-6302 aims to change the bonds within the skin scar tissue and thereby improve skin quality, elasticity and appearance.Trial results are expected by the end of the year.
