this is so strange. I have obviously very limited understanding of the legals here, but in my reading the appeal is challenging the jurisdiction claim, despite the judge saying that even it it was in this jurisdiction they find no grounds for claiming the farmer dudes as a non-consulted "community".

So why fight to keep your case in the court that has already indicated its findings? clearly they want to keep this case at the federal level, why?

Does this not just seem like a delay tactic?

despite the company saying they can press on, they'd be mad to do so as it could just be wasted money.....

So many questions around the strategy here, really wish the company could speak speculatively as to whats going on.
