The thing with the fund management business is once the fund bleeds out it is very hard for it to come back as it has found a new home
you can look at all the all-previous high flying fund managers for references, once the fund starts to bleed it keeps bleeding and there is little you can do to stop it, but now you face high fixed costs so the compounding effects now work in reverse, your margin will be compressed and so is your profitability.
Until the flow stops and you get new business you slowly fade into irrelevant over time
