This is ridiculous mate.

I understand your point, but as if they are going to be in a position to sell when they’d need majority shareholder support and the majority of shareholders would be in the red at the moment (and are assumedly holding this stock for the massive upside potential, which you’d lose in any kind of takeover). There’d need to be a HUGE premium paid if that were to happen, and no one is going to pay that kind of premium at this point in MGT’s lifecycle.

If there is any price manipulation, I think the more logical answer would be a potential JV partner who wants to have as much leverage in negotiations as possible.

But who knows.
