Mate, no one really knows what the hell is going on with PMs. The CEOs of mining cos themselves are in a quandary. Keith Neumeyer of First Majestic is on record as saying that his co also sells direct to the buyer at a premium and the sale bypasses official channels and hence does not see the light of day in official prices/quantities. He is also on record as saying he will withhold selling at official prices if he is unhappy with the price.
So it really comes down to the individual and his/her personal views on buying at the prevailing price?
