Given the recent share price trends, we will be receiving a lot more Qantas shares. Qantas share price at time of acqusition announcement was $5.65 which would have converted to 0.84 shares for your 1 Alliance share. Qantas average share price past 20 business days was $4.50 which converts to 1.06 Qantas shares.
Like you, and many other shareholders, I will be placing a sell order at the VWAP in order to achieve the equivalent cash consideration of $4.75. Who knows what the market sentiment will be on the effective date, and thereafter, and how long it will take to be filled. Hopefully we can all realise our $4.75.
