I believe management have converted options to fully paid in large numbers.
Nothing stopping them selling to each other at higher prices to get the share price jumping,then sell off some shares they got cheap as converted options at the higher range to make a profit from people jumping in,Then bring the share price down and buy up more as people panic.

As I have said I have seen this like to-day happen several times.
