No it wouldn't get rid of anything, well not unless all the gov'ts abolished all those taxes first and legislate so that they can not be reinstated forever while your dream tax exists. We still have VIC State stamp duty. Remember back when the new GST was going to get rid of stamp duty. Besides I would just pay cash [not electronic] and the businesses and services I use would then likely have higher banking costs and the gov't would get no taxes at all from me. The black market economy would thrive and the country would soon be bankrupt.
