Labor has always found comfort in raising tax on the unpopoular.
Fringe benifit tax -no one cared it was those rich suckers paying
Superannuation - no one cares it is those rich old lay abouts paying
Death duties -no one cares and the dead don't complain.
Labor likes to play the rich/poor game. Problem is many of its most militant supportes now days are construction workers who's pay makes university students wonder why they bother studying.
