Ok I can see that yields have fallen slightly, but the yield curve is basically flat indicating it's transitioning.
If there isn't anything else influencing the dollar I'd agree the POG would normally fall. However it doesn't always occur as seen in that chart I posted. Gold sometimes moves opposite to the U.S. dollar because the metal is dollar-denominated, making it a hedge against inflation.
