Can't provide loans on time, can't even match system growth for deposits/lending, can't keep stable dividends, can't keep his share price above $30 (when did ANZ last trade at an ATH?), can't provide 100% franked dividends, can't even build an app that's interesting.
But he's qualified enough to spend $5b of shareholders' capital buying an asset still trading at boom-time prices? OK, boomer.

Australia runs a third-world banking system and the behaviour of ANZ, WBC & NAB in raising capital at low prices, buying stuff at high prices is exactly why I stay away from these upside-down clowns. Give me CBA, MQG and any one of the major Canadian banks any day over this bag of garbage known as the Big Four.
