pjwicks,
It means the share price will jump 20 fold from 0.6cents to 12 cents, but the number of shares you hold will decrease 20 fold, so no change to total value of your holdings.
At 12 cents the bids and sells will be 0.5 cents apart. so a movement 12 to 12.5 cents is approximately 4% change in value. At present at 0.6 cents a movement to 0.7 cents is 16% change. If you buy at 0.7 and the price drops to 0.6 you lose 14% of your money. Consolidation just means the difference in share price movements is smaller in percentage terms, which may attract some people to buy. On the other hand it may attract people to sell if they want out. Because they might be able to sell at 11.5 cents which isn't as bad as selling at 0.5 cents ( which is equivalent to 10 cents per share after consolidation ).
Hope this helps your understanding.
