@pintohoo; my wife and I toured the UK and noted just how vulnerable many of their hotels / apartments are to threats from fire - antiquated!
We've close family who live in some of those terrace apartments in inner London - boy did they do it tough during Europe's recent heat wave and in one case, with a nipper as well!
Even if everyone in the UK ran out to install a/c that's not a solution - product supply, installers, approvals, electricity grid capacity ... it's a nightmare that'll not be resolved any time soon!
Global warming / climate change has already been disruptive but the real story is still unfolding!
