Cameroon is an awkward position.
What about those 20,000 jobs?
Payout was estimated to be ~ $132M.
This represents ~ 1.3% of the expected $10B cost of the project, so relatively insignificant.
At the end of the day, Biya got what he wanted... but how does he tell 20,000 Cameroonians they may not have a job for years?
