certainly I think the global warming problem is causing dramatic events we can now see every day. yet the problems that Europe is facing could become existential for some regions and nations.
does one rule out addressing the other? I don't think so. but of course it'll be costly, to be blunt.
I don't envy those who must make the decisions. Tanya Plibersek's Press Club address might give you a few clues, but she's quite circumspect as she realises the amount of consultation and negotiation that must be done before such decisions are made.

imo the greens are blowing awfully hard to puff up their chests with self-importance, particularly Bandt. there's a lot more lee-way in the senate than the Greens seem to reckon. Lib could get a few Libs on-side and reduce the necessity to gamble on a Greens alliance - which neither party wants anyway.
I'm just glad I don't have to do this job.
what's your view on the dilemma.?
