Greece has always been a basket case. Very corrupt and nothing much but a tourist destination. I'm totally amazed that the EU let it use their currency - crazy utopian politicians in Brussels.

The way nature used to balance itself was that their previous currency, the drachma constantly devalued at a great rate. This would ensure tourists would flock there each year for their cheap holidays. This is what should be happening risght now, so that your mousaka and a bottle of wine would only be a few bucks. Instead the foolish interventionist politicians have screwed up in a gigantic way as usual. The Greeks meanwhile had a huge party of course being underwritten by the others.
