That would be nice wouldn't it. A fee carry on a drug trial for covid courtesy taxpayers somewhere. But it wouldn't fix the problem would it? BIT will still run out of money in coming months based on the company's projections. No part of the US govt is going to pay directors fees, office space, salaries, super contributions etc on behalf of a little Aussie company so a grant for a trial isn't going to change the fact that cash to keep the lights on is required urgently.

In fact I'd ask you if any govt official is likely to sign off on grant money for a trial to a company who doesn't have sufficient money to keep its doors open long enough to run a trial? That surely would be madness wouldn't it, not to mention political suicide. The current financial situation almost rules out the grant option doesn't it? At least until the company resolves its own financial situation.

I offer no comment on how likely a grant may or may not be if the company was in a stable cash position, however in its current position I'd suggest the chances are approx 0%. That can change if they raise cash first but that sends us back to the scenarios discussed.

Hats off to you for positive thinking and innovative ideas. I'd love to hear other realistic scenarios.
